If you've ever gone to a marketplace to shop and ended up researching sellers and comparing prices instead, you're not alone. Devr-i Tesettür is a curated marketplace. We chose the sellers — you just choose the product that suits your style. On this page, we explain exactly how we make those choices and where we draw the line.
How We Decide to Work With a Seller
We don't accept every seller who applies. Before listing a seller's products, we ask:
- Do the product images represent the item honestly? A photo that makes a product look better than it is misleads customers. We don't list products with misleading or low-quality visuals.
- Is the price proportionate to the product? With over 12 years in this industry, we have a reasonable sense of what things are worth. We don't accept inflated prices that can't be justified by the product's quality or materials.
- Does the seller handle customer problems? How a seller responds to returns, exchanges and shipping issues directly affects whether we continue working with them.
When We Stop Working With a Seller
Our relationship with every seller is ongoing and monitored. We end the relationship if any of the following happen repeatedly:
- Repeatedly missing shipping commitments: When a customer places an order, they see a delivery date. That date needs to be kept. Sellers who consistently miss their stated shipping times are removed from our platform.
- Listing the same product at different prices: Listing the same item under different images or titles at different prices is price manipulation. When we detect this, we remove the listing. If it happens again, we end the relationship.
- Products that don't match their images: If a customer receives something that looks significantly different from what was shown, that's deception. Confirmed complaints of this kind are grounds for removal.
- Ignoring customer communications: Sellers who consistently fail to respond to return requests or complaints don't stay on our platform.
Our Product Listing Standards
- Product descriptions must be accurate — fabric content, measurements and features must be stated correctly.
- Images must show the product in its true colour and cut.
- Out-of-stock products must not remain as active listings.
- Pricing must be transparent — we don't accept artificial discount displays or inflated reference prices.
What This Means for You
These aren't aspirational standards — they're applied. A seller who violates them is warned first. If the problem continues, they're removed. Every seller currently on Devr-i Tesettür has passed through this process.
We can't guarantee that every order will go perfectly. But we know what to do when something goes wrong, and we stand by our customers when it does.
